Have you ever wondered why, despite what you know and understand, you find yourself defaulting to old unhelpful responses? Well there is a reason for that.  We are all individuals with differing personality traits and conditioning from our pasts. It is not what happens to us but the meaning we take from that experience that forms our beliefs, which in turn influences our emotional responses and behaviour.  

 

In order to bring about lasting change we need to reprogram the areas of the mind that are responsible for the unwanted responses.  Our minds are much like computers, they are only as good as the level of programming that is installed.  When you identify the faulty programming you can update it and the system functions as required. Our bodies respond to our thoughts and it is vital to have a healthy mindset for a healthy body. Therapy should have a truly holistic approach to maximise the potential changes.

 

Aiming the appropriate techniques at the root cause of the issue will bring about quick and permanent transformation and resolution.

You deserve to be the best version of you and our young people deserve to have resilient, growth mindsets to support them in an ever more challenging world.  With the right approach we can all thrive and experience joy, happiness and peace.

My initial training was as a Cognitive Hypnotherapist and NLP Master Practitioner at the Quest Institute.  Over many years experience, I have added new therapeutic models to my resources. Many talking therapies aim their work at the conscious level. In contrast, my model allows me to aim changes at the sub-conscious level, using a range of techniques drawn from different disciplines, providing bespoke therapy. In a sense, your life experiences have hypnotised you into believing certain things about yourself and the world that no longer serve you. We are not stuck with our limitations, behaviour and unwanted emotions. By rewriting unwanted beliefs you can experience profound changes in your thoughts, your behaviour and your emotional responses. This is a science based approach, drawing from the latest understandings of neuroscience and the amazing ability of the mind to undergo rewiring. Along with individual recordings to support the work in the sessions, this model is the very best that psychotherapy has to offer.

My continued experience across many areas of therapy, allows a flexible and individual approach for each client.  I offer face to face sessions at my private practice base in Amersham, Bucks and online sessions where appropriate.
